April 28, 2021, Los Angeles, CA – Angry Mob Music Group, an independent music publisher boldly serving songwriters, composers, artists, and creatives, today announced the promotion of Ralph Torrefranca to Senior Director of A&R and the appointment of Max Hirsh as Manager of A&R.

Ralph Torrefranca

Reporting to Marc Caruso, CEO of Angry Mob, Torrefranca will continue to oversee creative development of the Angry Mob’s diverse roster of award-winning and up-and-coming songwriters, artists, and producers. Torrefranca joined the company in 2015 and has been instrumental in signings including Jake Scott, love-sadKiD, KAMI, Bus, and MIKNNA, among many others. Before focusing on A&R, Torrefranca held a number of roles in the industry in management, television, and public relations, at companies including Red Light Management, Grandstand Media Management, and The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, which gives him a unique perspective in cultivating Angry Mob’s range of talent.

Hirsh, who had been working part-time in a Coordinator role in the A&R department over the past two years, now joins the company on a full-time basis as Manager, continuing to report directly to Torrefranca. He will continue to support Angry Mob’s artists and songwriters in setting up co-writing sessions and pitching music to artists, managers, labels, while also assisting in finding new talent for the company. Prior to joining Angry Mob in 2019, Hirsh worked for The Orchard, Superfly, and 7S Management while studying at the University of Boulder CO for his B.S. degree in the Music Business.

“Ralph has consistently brought the highest level of personal dedication and passion when working with and for our songwriters,” said Caruso. “Ralph sets himself apart from many A&Rs by always prioritizing the person of a writer – what they are about and what works for them creatively – which is how to best develop a long-term successful career.”

“In the same way that we develop our roster of amazing talent, it’s been great to see Max grow into this new role, just as Marc and the rest of the Angry Mob team have supported me over the past six years,” said Torrefranca. “I look forward to what we will now be able to achieve together as we continue to support the diverse roster of voices that has shaped the creative identity of Angry Mob.”
