Angry Mob Music Group Signs Exclusive Worldwide Co-Publishing Deal with KAMI, Member of Chance the Rapper’s SaveMoney Collective

Los Angeles, CA, June 27, 2019 – Angry Mob Music Group, an independent music publisher boldly serving songwriters, composers, artists, and creatives, has signed an exclusive worldwide co-publishing agreement with KAMI, a Chicago rapper and founding member of Chance the Rapper’s SaveMoney collective. He is also one-half of the group Leather Corduroys with Joey Purp.

An accomplished solo artist, KAMI’s style blends elements of boundary-pushing, experimental rap and hip-hop with synth-driven new wave and pop vocals. Since his debut mixtape, Light, was released in 2012, KAMI has been featured in publications such as Noisey, Pitchfork, XXL, Hypebeast,and Vibe Magazine. In 2017, he released his first full-length album, Just Like the Movies, which featured guest appearances from Vic Mensa, Towkio, and Joey Purp, followed by an EP titled Superstar. In 2018, he released another two EPs: From Me to You and Very Slight, a collaborative EP with Smoko Ono. The track “Reboot” off Very Slight featuring Chance the Rapper and Joey Purp is his top streamed hit with over 4 million streams. KAMI joined TOKiMIONSTA on the Midwest leg of the Lune Rouge Experience Tour (2017) and supported Taylor Bennett on his Restoration of an American Idol Tour (2018). The Chicago Tribune’s RedEye included KAMI in their “5 Chicago Acts to Watch in 2017” list, and FACT Magazine named him to their “10 Rappers to Watch in 2018” list.
