About Angry Mob Music Group

Angry Mob Music Group is an independent music publisher dedicated to standing up for the rights of songwriters, composers, artists, and creatives. Founded in 2009 and currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, Angry Mob focuses on music licensing, master rights management, creative development, and custom music production for a roster of over 60 songwriters, composers, and artists, including Jake Scott, Pepper, dePresno, KAMI, love-sadKID, Rune Westberg, and Schmarx & Savvy.

Angry Mob has successfully administered sync placements for a catalogue of over 4,500 works for their songwriters and artists in television, feature films, and advertisements. In addition to traditional publishing, they offer creative, diverse opportunities across movie trailers and digital experiences for brands. Prominent placements include Pretty Little Liars, Shameless, the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Bad Moms, The Gambler, advertising campaigns for Hyundai and Google, and trailers for Alita: Battle Angel, Widows, and Blade Runner 2049.

Angry Mob’s Los Angeles-based team has worked on both sides of the music industry, as music business professionals and as composers and performing artists. This experience has offered valuable insight and an outstanding network of trustworthy contacts. As a company, they take pride in recognizing the incredible talent, effort, and passion that go into creating music. They understand the need to have an ally and advocate dedicated to advancing a songwriter’s career, and they ensure their writers have the freedom and support they need to create while the “Angry Mob” handles the business of publishing.

Whether representing an individual songwriter or an entire catalogue, Angry Mob fights to make sure that all royalties are collected. The company earns a percentage of the income generated by its catalogue and strives to create new revenue-generating opportunities. Angry Mob is also deeply involved in the creative process for their writers. They provide feedback and guidance to songwriters on their work, make suggestions for new directions, and match songwriters and artists with new collaborators to produce exciting results.

Marc Caruso (CEO/Co-Founder) oversees all facets of Angry Mob. For the past 20 years, as an entrepreneur, composer, producer, and Emmy-nominated music editor, he has been at the forefront of music publishing and master rights administration, especially within TV and film. Under his leadership, Angry Mob has grown into a diversified music company with successful operations in publishing, music rights management, and trailer music production. Caruso has also led the company’s direct signings, ranging from major label artists and accomplished songwriters to emerging producers and composers.
