Symphonic has announced a new licensing agreement with leading sync platform SourceAudio to expand ethical AI-licensing opportunities. Under the new pact, Symphonic-distributed artists and labels will be able to opt in and participate in SourceAudio’s AI music dataset licensing marketplace, allowing them to earn incremental revenue from their songs when they are used to train approved third-party AI models and tools.

Rightsholders that choose to participate will join 14m other opted-in songs aggregated from SourceAudio’s network of over 3,000 music catalogs, including independent labels and premium-quality production music libraries.
