Holiday season is quickly approaching, but that isn’t slowing down our amazing clients.


Made In Memphis Entertainment’s co-founders, David Porter and Tony D. Alexander, to be a part of the Worthy 100 – a list of entrepreneurs who are working to make a serious impact both personally and through their business. They were chosen as one of the only two music entries on the list because of their conscientious hiring techniques, along with their support and partnerships with organizations that focus on diversity, which has helped in steering them toward their goal of reshaping the Memphis music industry.

Beatroot, one of the MIME family companies, signed a worldwide publishing deal with Doug E. Fresh. The deal encompasses not only his older music, but several unreleased tracks and his new album This One’s For Chuck Brown, his first album in more than 20 years.


On October 12-15, Mondo.NYC hosted its Sixth Annual Music, Arts & Technology Conference & Music Festival! The Conference included virtual panels featuring over 200 leading music, arts, media and tech executives and entrepreneurs, round table discussions and workshops, private one-on-ones, live performances, and networking. In the evenings, there were live and streamed performances by Jackie Venson, Thunderpussy, The Living Strange, Paola Gladys, and more.

The 2022 Mondo.NYC dates have been announced! The conference will be returning to Brooklyn on October 11-14, 2022.


Music Tech Works’ rightsholder.io was chosen as the winner of the Music Marketing & Data/Analytics category at the 2021 Midem Lab Startup Competition in November. In addition to Midem Lab, rightsholder.io has had a busy couple months working with Concord Music Group in verifying their ingestion of the Downtown Music Catalog, and with appearances at Venture Atlanta, Mondo.NYC, and A3C!

On October 5th, Trqk launched TrqkIQ Publisher Edition to target publishers, production music libraries and other rightsholders. New features for publishers include larger statement support for 100mb or larger, their ground-breaking gap-analysis features to help find missing income from PRO statements through comparisons to their expanded live, on-air detections from 355 channels in 21 countries on 6 continents. The new features combined offer music publishers and production libraries more valuable insights, thorough interpretation of data and analysis, and a more comprehensive global picture of their performances.

DDEX participated in the Music Business Association’s Metadata summit in October, as part of the “Music Industry & The Creator Economy: Worlds Collide” panel. They also announced a series of metadata webinars to close out the year.

EIDR to develop a venue identifier which will uniquely identify music venues such as studios or concert venues as well as venues relevant to the film and TV industry. This webinar will explain this new tool and how this identifier could be used by the entertainment industry.In addition, the 2022 DDEX plenary dates will be the week of June 13th and November 14th.


This month, CCS Rights Management’s Daytripper Music Publishing Division marked it’s first U.S. signings with Olivia Wendel, Laureli, and Daniel Blake. These signings come shortly after they established their partnership with Renowned KCRW Radio Host and Multi-Grammy Nominated Music Supervisor Chris Douridas to Build and Develop its Talent Roster and Fuel their U.S. Expansion.

AIMP announced in October that they have approved the formation of the Atlanta Steering Committee, which is the first step to officially creating the new chapter. The steering committee will guide the process of establishing the new AIMP chapter, whose mission will be to meet the unique needs of Atlanta’s emerging and established music creators and industry professionals at every level of their career.

AIMP has had several notable webinars this fall, such as “Leading the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Challenge: Fostering Change,” “Legends of Music Row,” and “Recruiting and Retaining Talent in a Pandemic: How the Music Industry is Adapting to the New Reality.” Recordings of these webinars are available to all AIMP members and can be found by clicking here.


Like always, Deborah Mannis-Gardner’s most recent project is incredibly cool. In the new hit video game “Back 4 Blood,” Deborah worked on getting the music cleared for one of the missions called “Bar Room Blitz.” In this part of the game, players are required to keep the jukebox playing to distract the zombies while survivors are loaded onto buses outside. 

Not only that, but she also worked on clearing all the samples for Drake’s new album Certified Lover Boy. This release was the largest streaming debut in the world with over 153 million streams, it achieved the all-time record for the most US top-ten singles from one album, and has spent five non-consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Angry Mob has been fast at work and landed some incredible Sync placements for their artist ROMES. The placements include “Lose My Cool” as the theme song for the new Canadian Broadcasting Corporation show Strays – a spinoff of the wildly popular hit series Kim’s Convenience – which premiered on September 14th, and “All The Time” by ROMES (feat. Haiva) is featured in the new Abercrombie & Fitch Fall campaign ad


On October 27, Qrates announced a new partnership with Fat Beats, establishing a press-to-order global vinyl distribution network for retailers, furthering their mission to democratize vinyl for independent musicians and labels. Through the deal, select Qrates vinyl projects to be picked up for in-store distribution through Fat Beats’ network, which includes hundreds of independent record stores across North America. On September 22, Exactuals announced the launch of its PaymentHub-AgilLink integration feature in partnership with Datafaction and City National Bank. The new integration streamlines the payment flow and back office operations of business managers and other firms that service end talent. This digitized process is more secure than the mailing of paper checks, allowing clients to get paid faster and for business managers to work more efficiently and remotely.


Zach is our Public Relations Coordinator and has been working with Jaybird since his internship in spring 2020. In his public relations coordinator role, Zach helps with creating newsletters, press releases, pitches, social media, and a whole lot more. Based in Los Angeles, he is a dynamic part of this team & an even bigger asset to our clients.
