Tony Alexander from MIME wrote an op-ed published in the Memphis Business Journal discussing how the role of diversity officer shouldn’t be falling on one person, and it’s the responsibility of everyone at a company to be a steward of diversity.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just good for business, they are good business.
As companies add a seat in the C-suite for a chief diversity officer, they often put the entire burden on this often under-resourced individual. This is a missed opportunity to structure the business for 21st-century competitiveness.
