Liz Garner, copyright administrator to the estate, has also commented on the wider lessons to be drawn from the lawsuit.
“The outcome of this lawsuit highlights the importance of copyright law, and particularly the need for artists to officially reserve their rights when they release music,” said Garner in a statement sent to Music Ally.
