Symphonic Distribution Promotes Steve Lewis, Jakub Alexander, Jon Mizrachi, and Laura Catana to Drive Expansion and Grow Talent Roster

March 4, 2025 (Tampa, FL) – Symphonic Distribution, a leading music technology and services company for independent labels, managers, and artists, has promoted Steve Lewis to Senior Director, UGC & Video; Jakub Alexander to VP, A&R and Client Development; Jon Mizrachi to VP & Head of Sync for Bodega Sync; and Laura Catana to Director of Content and Social Media Strategy as part of the company’s plans to expand aggressively in 2025 and add on to its roster of labels and artists. Lewis, Alexander, and Mizrachi will report to Randall Foster, Chief Creative Officer at Symphonic, and Catana will report to Janette Berrios, VP of Corporate Marketing.

Lewis joined Symphonic in 2019 as Director of UGC and Video, managing the company’s UGC team, YouTube channel, and video distribution team. He has grown the UGC business at Symphonic exponentially, maintaining strong relationships with DSPs including YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and others, while also providing YouTube channel management, optimization, and monetization for top-level artists from the U.S., LATAM, and beyond. Prior to joining Symphonic, Lewis was the Senior Manager of Video and New Media for Naxos of America and also founded Broken Hip records. He is based in Nashville.

Alexander joined Symphonic in 2018 as Senior Client Manager, Playlist Pitching / A&R and was promoted to Director, A&R & Business Development in 2021. As VP, he will manage the Deals team. Some of Alexander’s notable signings at Symphonic include Sound Signature, Machine Girl, Ryuichi Sakamoto, ODESZA, and Tycho, among many others. Prior to joining Symphonic, Alexander was an A&R and Project Manager for label Ghostly International where he was responsible for signing and developing some of the label’s biggest acts, including Com Truise, Shigeto, and Tycho.

Mizrachi joined Symphonic in 2018 as Senior Director of Sync Licensing and helped develop and launch their sync licensing division, Bodega Sync. As VP, he will lead the company’s global sync operations, overseeing A&R, business development, and creative licensing. At Symphonic, Mizrachi has secured hundreds of sync placements for independent artists including recent ads for major brands like Jeep, Apple, Amex, and Pizza Hut. Prior to joining Symphonic, Mizrachi served as Creative Director for Carlin America, one of New York City’s largest independent music publishers, where he not only secured high profile sync placements but also developed a proprietary pitching platform that predated similar technologies like DISCO. He is based in Brooklyn.

Catana joined Symphonic in 2023 as Marketing Manager, managing a team of social media and marketing coordinators in the US and Colombia. As Director of Content and Social Media Strategy, she will continue her mission to empower independent musicians and amplify Symphonic’s brand presence. Prior to joining Symphonic, Catana co-founded one of Cuba’s first indie music labels, Guámpara Music, where she served as an artist and label manager, marketing manager, and creative producer. She also previously held the roles of Artist Relations Specialist and Head of Artist Relations at IndieFlow. She is based in Brooklyn.
