History, covering the period from 1944-2025. The rest of the Top 10 is
Bob McDill, Bill Anderson, Harlan Howard, Billy Sherrill, Craig
Wiseman, Tom Shapiro, Rhett Akins and Merle Haggard. A list
of the top 40 writers will be published in Joel Whitburn’s History of Top
Country Singles 1944-2025 releasing June 4.
