Qobuz subscribers can now follow lyrics in sync with the music, with fully licensed lyrics that pay the songwriters behind them
November 5, 2026 (Toronto, Canada and Paris, France) – LyricFind, a global leader in lyric licensing and data solutions, has been named the provider of synchronized lyrics and translations for Qobuz, the independent, high-quality music streaming and download platform. Every lyric Qobuz subscribers see is fully licensed, with royalties flowing back to the songwriters who wrote them and the publishers who represent them.

LyricFind is powering Qobuz’s new real-time lyrics feature, allowing subscribers to follow songs in sync with the music and connect more deeply with music across languages. Through the agreement, Qobuz gains access to LyricFind’s fully licensed library of song lyrics. Subscribers can also read translations in up to six languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese, on a growing selection of tracks.
Qobuz introduced the lyrics feature as part of a broader redesign of its player for phones and tablets. The new experience allows listeners to explore related music and Qobuz editorial coverage while playback continues, with expanded credits adding context to each song. Playback is also easier to manage while browsing the app, thanks to redesigned controls that remain within reach. The update is available through Qobuz’s iOS and Android apps, and is slated to reach more platforms over time.

“Qobuz’s commitment to presenting music with depth and integrity makes it a natural fit for LyricFind,” said Darryl Ballantyne, Founder and CEO of LyricFind. “Pairing that high-resolution sound with accurate, licensed lyrics and translations makes Qobuz a premier destination for serious listeners, and we’re proud to support its growth while generating new revenue for the songwriters and publishers behind the music.”
“Our subscribers come to Qobuz to listen closely and understand their favourite music more fully,” said Axel Destagnol, Chief Product Officer at Qobuz. “Lyrics are a natural part of that, and we wanted a partner who treats them with the same care we give to sound and credits. With LyricFind, our listeners around the world can follow the songs they love in sync with the music.”

Artists and managers also have a direct say in how their lyrics appear on Qobuz through LyricFind’s Verified Artist Program. Free for verified artists, the program lets them add, edit, and synchronize lyrics for display across LyricFind’s partner services, and submit their own translations for fans in every market to read the song the way the artist meant it. Managers and labels with rosters of two or more artists can set up a custom roster portal by contacting artistmanager@lyricfind.com.
