The agreement will enable rightsholders whose works are administered by Monetunes to earn royalties from their lyrics across digital platforms powered by LyricFind.
Under the agreement, LyricFind will license and deliver lyrics for Monetunes-administered works to services including Google, TikTok, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Audi, Deezer, Pandora, and Qobuz. LyricFind will track licensed lyric usage, provide detailed reporting, and send collected royalties to Monetunes for distribution to the appropriate songwriters and rightsholders. The works covered by the deal include works recorded by Daddy Yankee, Zedd, Chance the Rapper, Roberta Flack, and many others.
The agreement expands Monetunes’ administration offering beyond the performance, mechanical, neighboring-rights, live-performance, and sync income it already manages for its clients, which include independent and label-affiliated artists, songwriters, producers, labels, and management companies. The deal also gives Monetunes clients access to LyricFind’s specialized lyric-usage reporting across platforms and territories, while expanding the range of independently administered works available through LyricFind’s global lyric-licensing ecosystem.
