“Joel Whitburn’s History of Top Country Singles 1944-2025,” the 230th title from chart reference publisher Record Research, is available for preorder at recordresearch.com at $89.95, ahead of an official June 4 release during CMA Fest in Nashville.

The book documents every song to appear on country singles charts from the debut of the Most-Played Juke Box Folk Records chart in 1944 through the final Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts of 2025, with artist-by-artist listings, a title index, song and artist rankings, and a chronological No. 1 history. New to this edition is a songwriter section spotlighting the 40 all-time top country songwriters and their Top 40 hits, presented in partnership with Nan Kingsley and in honor of the late Bob Kingsley. The previous edition of the book covered through 2017.
