September 16, 2026 (Tampa, FL) – Symphonic, a leading music technology and services company for independent labels, managers, and artists, today announced a new collaboration with MassiveMusic, the global music and sound partner for leading brands, agencies, and platforms. The collaboration expands Symphonic’s patented TransferTrack catalog migration technology with integrated audio delivery from MassiveMusic’s catalogue infrastructure. The first-of-its-kind enhancement removes one of the last major manual steps involved in switching distributors, making it easier for labels and artists to move their catalogs to Symphonic without rebuilding releases from scratch.
Symphonic introduced TransferTrack in 2024 as the first technology of its kind, allowing clients to bulk-import eligible releases into SymphonicMS using only a Spotify artist page or release link. The tool brings available release data into Symphonic’s platform, reducing metadata re-entry, maintaining catalog consistency, consolidating analytics, and helping clients preserve stream history and playlist placements when releases are properly linked by digital service providers.

Until now, clients still needed to upload the underlying audio files and, in some cases, other assets before transferred releases could be submitted through SymphonicMS. MassiveMusic’s catalog infrastructure closes that gap by supplying high-quality FLAC audio files alongside normalized, DDEX-compliant metadata, including ISRC information. Integrating those capabilities creates a more complete workflow while building on the technology and process Symphonic has already developed.
When an incoming label’s catalog is available within MassiveMusic’s systems, Symphonic can pull the audio and metadata directly into its platform, where the content arrives accurately structured and ready for distribution. Symphonic then coordinates delivery and takedowns to help avoid gaps and protect the playcount history the label has built over time. Maintaining that continuity also supports the label’s algorithmic visibility and audience reach.
The collaboration lowers the operational cost of changing distributors and frees labels and artists from time-consuming file sourcing and data entry. It also enables Symphonic to onboard new clients faster and at greater scale.
“TransferTrack was built to give independent labels more freedom to choose the distribution relationship that best supports their business,” said Jorge Brea, CEO of Symphonic. “MassiveMusic’s audio delivery capabilities allow us to take that vision further and create a smoother path into Symphonic. This is exactly where we want to keep investing: technology that removes operational barriers and gives our clients greater control over their catalogs.”
“MassiveMusic’s role is to make complex music delivery work reliably, no matter how big or small the catalog,” said James Priestley, SVP Global Sales, Licensing and Technology Solutions at MassiveMusic. “Much of the music that labels need to move is already in MassiveMusic’s 180m track global catalogue, our modular platform allows the streamlining of many backend processes across the music industry, so working with Symphonic was a no-brainer. Together, we can make a complicated transition much simpler for the artists and labels involved.”
