Symphonic Teams with ArtyShield to Help Artists Protect Their Music and Voices from Unauthorized AI Exploitation

August 5, 2026 (Tampa, FL) – Symphonic, a leading music technology and services company for independent labels, managers, and artists, today announced a new collaboration with ArtyShield, an AI trust infrastructure platform that helps artists and rightsholders protect their music and voices from unauthorized AI use.

Through the integration, Symphonic clients can now access ArtyShield directly within the Client Offerings section of SymphonicMS, making advanced AI protection tools available as part of their everyday workflow.

At the center of the collaboration is MusicShield, a breakthrough technology designed to help protect music before it is released. Rather than relying on detection after misuse has already occurred, MusicShield proactively modifies machine-perceived acoustic features in ways that remain imperceptible to human listeners, making tracks significantly more difficult for AI systems to interpret, learn from, or use in training while preserving the original listening experience. As generative AI models continue to rely on massive datasets of music, MusicShield represents an important new layer of protection that allows artists and rightsholders to take action before their work is ingested into AI pipelines.

The collaboration also gives Symphonic clients access to ArtyShield’s broader suite of AI trust tools. VeriTune analyzes recordings to determine whether a track may have been AI-generated and provides explainable results beyond a simple yes-or-no determination. VoiceShield helps protect vocal performances from unauthorized voice cloning and synthetic speech misuse, while VeriVoice helps identify AI-generated or cloned voice recordings. Together, these tools help artists, labels, and managers better understand, verify, and protect their creative works throughout the release lifecycle.

ArtyShield is also preparing to launch ArtyShield Certify, a certification workflow designed to provide verifiable proof that creative works are human-created, supporting future licensing, legal, and platform verification needs.

Symphonic clients can begin using ArtyShield for free, with paid tiers available for expanded protection and advanced capabilities.

“The conversation around AI shouldn’t begin after someone’s work has already been copied or misused,” said Jorge Brea, CEO of Symphonic. “MusicShield is exciting because it gives creators a practical way to protect their music before that happens. We believe AI can create tremendous opportunities for our industry, but those opportunities have to be built on consent, transparency, and respect for the people creating the music in the first place.”

“MusicShield was built around a simple idea: artists deserve meaningful protection before their work becomes part of AI systems,” said Jian Liu, Founder/CEO at ArtyShield. “Working with Symphonic allows us to bring that protection directly into the release workflow, making it easier for creators to safeguard their music while also giving them tools to verify authenticity and protect their voices.”

The ArtyShield collaboration expands Symphonic’s growing portfolio of AI-focused initiatives centered on creator consent and trust. Earlier this year, Symphonic announced a collaboration with Sureel AI to create Fair AI licensing opportunities with attribution-backed accounting, transparent reporting, and default opt-out protections. The company also partnered with SourceAudio to provide access to an opt-in, fully licensed AI music dataset marketplace for approved third-party AI training, and recently launched its AI Release Campaign Builder, which helps artists, labels, and managers generate customized marketing strategies based on their release goals and budget.
