The music cloud platform provides the licensed music metadata, catalogue access, and backend services for FanLabel’s new paid-entry, skill-based music contest app

Birmingham, MI, Tuesday, 16 June 2026 —  Tuned Global, the music cloud platform, is proud to announce a new milestone in its long-standing partnership with FanLabel, a music gamification and prediction market entertainment company that turns real-world music performance data into interactive fan experiences. Tuned Global is supporting the launch of FanLabel SongPicks, the company’s new paid-entry, skill-based music contest app.

FanLabel SongPicks, released in May 2026, allows fans to use their knowledge of songs and streaming trends to compete for cash prizes. Players take part in skill-based contests where they rank songs, predict performance, and compete on leaderboards.

FanLabel owns and operates the SongPicks app, while Tuned Global powers the licensed music layer behind the experience. This includes providing API access for music metadata and preview delivery, catalogue ingestion and access, CDN and backend infrastructure, operational maintenance, and music usage reporting to rightsholders.

The launch extends a partnership that began in 2021, when Tuned Global took over music ingestion, delivery, and rightsholder royalty reporting for FanLabel’s original music gamification platform.

Using its automated music catalogue delivery and ingestion system, INTAGA, Tuned Global migrated FanLabel from its previous music backend provider in 10 days, while supporting access to millions of tracks from major and independent record labels, enriched metadata and territorial rights management.

Tuned Global Founder and Managing Director Con Raso said the company was thrilled to support the ongoing innovation of a long-standing partner.

“FanLabel SongPicks is a great example of how music technology can power a new category of interactive fan experience,” he said.

“FanLabel has created a compelling way for fans to put their music knowledge to the test, while Tuned Global helps support the licensed music, metadata and reporting infrastructure behind the scenes. We are proud to continue supporting FanLabel as they expand their vision for music gamification.”

Tuned Global reports stream usage each month to record labels, publishers, the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC), and performing rights organisations (PROs) on FanLabel’s behalf. This reporting infrastructure helps FanLabel operate interactive music experiences using licensed content while maintaining the operational processes required by rightsholders.

FanLabel SongPicks joins FanLabel Classic, the company’s free-to-play fantasy-sports-style music challenge app, and FanLabel MusicMarkets, its music-centric layer for CFTC-regulated prediction markets.

Across its broader product ecosystem, FanLabel combines licensed music content, objective streaming and chart data, and skill-based competition to create new ways for fans to engage with music.

FanLabel Founder and CEO Jeff Sloan welcomed the launch and the continued partnership with Tuned Global.

“Our team is very proud to have FanLabel SongPicks officially out in the world,” he said.

“We believe that the SongPicks experience will provide music enthusiasts with a new way to engage in their love of music while at the same time benefiting the industry by driving music discovery, consumption, and an entirely new way to generate monetization.

“Tuned Global has successfully run our backend music technology since 2021, so extending that work to SongPicks was a natural decision. The licensed music, metadata, and reporting all sit on the infrastructure we already trust.”
